The funeral service for John O. Beyer of New Richland, Minnesota will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Reverend Scott Williams will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be for 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
John died Monday December 10, 2012 at his home. He was 70 years old.

Ardes L. Siemers, age 95, of Faribault, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Keystone Communities of Faribault.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour in Faribault, with the Very Rev. James Zotalis, Rev. Henry Doyle, Deacon Bonnie Holt and the Rev. David Berggren, officiating. Interment will be held at the Groveland Cemetery in Dundas.
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to services on Monday.
Arrangements were completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Nora Newman, 92, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born May 11, 1920, in Freeborn County, Minnesota, daughter of William and Belva (Russ) Patschke.
Nora served in the United States Army for three years as a nurse until her honorable discharge in 1946. She worked for the Veterans Administration in Des Moines, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Iowa Unit WBCCI and Highland Park Lutheran Church.

Mae Viola Thompson O'Neal
May 2nd, 1920 to November 28th, 2012
A beautiful tiny baby girl, Mae Viola Thompson was born to George Arthur and Caroline Thompson on May 2, 1920, on their farm in Hartland Township.
Mae was confirmed and baptized at the Hartland Lutheran Church in Hartland, MN, attended country schools in both Hartland & Manchester townships & also Freeborn High School. Her Norwegian ancestors were of the people that built the churches of N. Freeborn County.
Mae shared fond memories of her childhood & cold wintry sleigh rides home from Grandparents, Bertram & Betsy Sybilrud's farm, located N. of Hartland, and also of picking raspberries and gooseberries as she walked through the woods of her Grandmother Arslog Thompson Lee's farm, located on the N. shore of Mule Lake.

Elaine Lucille Soeldner, age 94 of Waseca died on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born on June 20, 1918 in Springfield, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Joseph and Emilie (Schmidt) Schumacher. When her mother married Vinton Bird, they moved to New Richland where Elaine grew up and attended school. The family spent summers at a cabin on St. Olaf Lake, where Elaine loved to swim and play tennis. She graduated from New Richland High School in 1936 and Minneapolis Business College in 1938.
