Our beloved wife, sister, daughter, mother, aunt, Godmother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend.

Kay LaVonne Adams passed away in her home Saturday, August 10, 2024. She lived a full and beautiful life in spite of having Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. She was a lover of flowers and member of a Garden Club, a member of a Red Hatters group. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, was part of The woman’s church guild for many years, taught CCD classes, was a Girl Scout Leader, worked with good friends at the Care Center and retired after many years at the New Richland Drug Store.

Kay and her husband Patrick (Pat) loved their trips to Florida to escape the Minnesota cold, visit friends and meet up with golf partners. She was a devoted wife throughout their 50 years of business. She was kind and patient. Through her thoughtfulness, she knew just how to make everyone feel special. Saying the rosary became an everyday event, strengthening her faith in Christ.

She was well loved by her family and got to enjoy a beautiful marriage of 63 years with her partner in crime. She was elated for grandchildren and so blessed to meet great grandchildren in her lifetime. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Kay was preceded in death by her mother Leah Berg, father Harlan Berg, mother-in-law Eva Adams, father-in-law CR (Bon) Adams, grandson Steven Adams-Batt, brother-in-law Jay Adams, sister-in-law Jean Adams, brother-in-law Mark Adams, brother-in-law Chris Adams.

In addition to her husband of 63 years, Patrick (Pat) Adams is left to Cherish Kay’s memory along with their children Suzanne (Sue) Adams, Cheryl Peterson, Sheila Adams (Harvey) and Cindy Fussy (Timothy) and grandchildren Kristi Peterson (Jake), Alison Peterson, Jill Peterson, Jade Peterson (Carter), Brynn Fussy, Eli Fussy, Corbin Fussy and Great grandchildren Rylee Jensen and Raylah Peterson.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 12 noon at All Saints Catholic Church, New Richland, with family receiving friends from 10 a.m. until mass time.

Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Richland.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Calvary Cemetery Perpetual Fund. Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road, Owatonna, entrusted with arrangements.
