Ryan Johnson
Ryan Larry Johnson, affectionately known as "Juner," age 65, of Ellendale, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at his home.
Juner was a man of many talents. He could master anything he set his mind to achieve. As a skilled and meticulous woodworker, he generously donated his creations to local benefits and organizations, especially those that contributed to children during the Christmas season. Juner had a fun sense of humor and his "stand-up" act included him telling the stories of The Three Little Pigs, The Alphabet and Cinderella in his own unique way. He enjoyed golf, pool, hunting, fishing, brain challenging puzzles, the Vikings, the Twins and being with family and friends.
He began his working career on the Railroad and then became a rural mail carrier in the Albert Lea area.
Ryan is survived by his brothers, Rick (Beckie), Rollie (Cheryl), and Ross "Poke" Johnson; sister, LuAnn (Brad) Prescher; a sister-in-law, Jolee Lee; uncle, Don (Gail) Johnson; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Johnson; brothers, Ron and Roger Johnson; and nephew, Avery.
Juner was well known and well-loved in the community he loved of Ellendale that embraced him and appreciated all he had to offer.
The Family of Ryan "Juner" Johnson would like to thank you for the kind expressions and comforting words through this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held, Friday August 2 at 2 p.m. at Vibrant Life Assembly of God Church Ellendale, 702 3rd St. S. The family will receive friends at a visitation to begin at 1 p.m. and at a luncheon following the service.
