Daniel Keith Knudson passed away July 17, 2024 at the age of 40.

Dan was born May 4th, 1984 in La Crosse, WI to Roger and Karen Knudson and was raised in Ellendale, MN. He resided in Owatonna, MN for the last five years.

After graduating from NRHEG High in 2002, Dan joined the U.S. National Guard and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2008-2015. He worked as a general contractor throughout his career, specializing in ceramic tile and roofing, and was a volunteer for the Ellendale Fire Department.

Dan married Casey Homuth on September 10, 2022. Dan enjoyed playing pool, racing, fishing and spending time with his two daughters.

Dan is survived by his wife, Casey; daughters Addilynn Joy “AJ”, and Rylynn Knudson; step-daughter, Madison Homuth; step-son, Kaden Homuth; mother, Karen Knudson Ibberson; step-father, Jerry Ibberson; sister, Teresa Pratt Carver and her husband, Mark Carver; brother, Matt Knudson and his wife, Mary Harders; step-sister Jackie Engelbrecht and her husband, Pastor Tom Engelbrecht; step-brother, Paul Ibberson and his wife, Katy Ibberson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dan was preceded in death by his dad, Roger Knudson in 2009; brother, Robby Knudson in 1986; uncle Steve Knudson, in 2007; uncle Keith Ahrens, in 2013; and his grandparents.

Dan’s family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. To 7 p.m. on Wednesday July 24th, 2024 at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, MN. A funeral service for Dan will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. Visitation will begin one hour before. Guests are invited to wear casual attire, especially items honoring the United States Military, to the visitation. Burial will be in First Lutheran Cemetery in on July 27 at 11 a.m.
