Mary DeShanne, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at her home.
Friends greeted the family on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 2-5 p.m. at Brick-Meger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Litomysl with Fr. Bill Becker presiding. Parish rosary will be recited at 9:45 a.m. before Mass.
Mary was born on May 25, 1955 to Edward and Mary (Rysavy) Haberman. She graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1973.
Mary worked many jobs, but her favorite was being a waitress.
Her most enjoyable part was meeting new people and seeing the expressions on their faces. Regardless of how the food was, many people kept coming back to see Mary.
She never cared about worldly possessions; Mary cherished the relationships with her friends and family, and always tried to find the good in people.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking and garage sales. But most of all she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother.
Survived by her greatest creations, Matthew (Missy Anderson) Haberman, Capri (Michael) Mikula, Joshua (dog Arlo) DeShanne, Brandon DeShanne, Nicholas (Lisa) DeShanne, and Dallas (Tiffany) DeShanne; grandchildren, Cody, Tristen, Tori, Matthew, Gabrielle, Amelia, Alayna, Lucille, and Josephine; great-grandchildren, Liam, Christian, Sawyer, Noah, Ijla, Ashton, and her dog Buddy; brother, Robert “Bobby Jo” Haberman, Edward (Nelda) Haberman, sister-in-law, Janice Haberman.
She was preceded in death by parents, brother, Meinard Haberman, sister-in-law, Connie Haberman.
