February 14, 2022 - September 8, 2023:
Makaylen was born on February 14, 2022 at Olmsted Medical Community Hospital in Rochester, MN to Adam and Mallory (Berg) Plotz. Makaylen was surrounded by the love of her family throughout her short 18 months on this earth. She enjoyed painting, dance parties on the deck, racing her grandparents down the hallway, and facetiming her aunties. She was always singing every letter of her ABC's, counting to 20, practicing her sign language, and reading her favorite books. Makaylen had a gift for making everyone in a room smile and laugh. She was the best snuggler, so very generous with her kisses and hugs, and she never left a sneeze unblessed. She loved to go with her family on camping trips, swimming at the pool, and playing in the sandbox. Makaylen was the most adorable little shadow to her big sister, constantly insisting that she could do anything Aliyah could do. As her family deeply grieves the loss of her physical presence, they will forever cherish and appreciate the gift of Makaylen's life to them. Heaven gained the most beautiful little angel, and she will forever be in our hearts.
Makaylen is survived by her parents - Adam and Mallory and loving sister - 4-year-old Aliyah of Stewartville; maternal grandparents - Steve and Rhonda Berg of High Forest, MN; paternal grandparents - Mike and Sue Plotz of New Richland, MN; maternal great- grandmother - Dianne Berg of Winnebago; paternal great- grandmother - LaVonne Kalke of New Richland, MN, and great- grandfather Tom Plotz of Wells, MN; Auntie Nicole Plotz and Uncle Shane (Jenni) Halvorson. Honorary aunties and uncles Laura (Tom) Hellendrung; April (Tyler) Aken; and Jeremy Westrum. Honorary cousins - Kylie and Kenny Hellendrung. Makaylen was preceded in death by her twin and older sibling that we never had a chance to meet here on earth; She was also greeted in heaven by her aunt Shelly Plotz; several great-grandparents - Vern and Virginia Ridgeway; George "Butch" Berg; Kermit Kalke and Phyllis Plotz.
