Belvy Jean Kaiser, age 94, of Janesville died on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Mapleton Community Home.
Belvy was born on February 12, 1929 to Bert & Myrtle (Groth) Root in New Richland Township, Waseca County. She grew up for a time on St. Olaf Lake and cherished the memories she had yodeling, roller skating, playing baseball, swimming, and playing the harmonica. She attended rural Waseca County Schools and graduated from New Richland High School in 1949. On November 26, 1949, Belvy was united in marriage to Kenneth Kaiser at St. Mary Catholic Church. Together they had 11 children and shared 68 years of marriage before Ken passed away on March 21, 2018. Belvy worked at Birds Eye, and EF Johnson Co. in Waseca. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, quilting, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Belvy was a member of the St. Michaels Guild and quilting group at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf.
Belvy is survived by her children: Danny (Louise Taylor) Kaiser, Ginger (Gary) Meurer, Connie (Claude Curtis) Kaiser, Mary (Alan) Kaiser, Tim (Ann Crabtree) Kaiser, Rose (David) Kruse, Brian Kaiser, and Cindy (Steve) Arndt; grandchildren: Daniel Jr., Eric, Shandora, Franchesca, Josey, Luke, Kali, Alana, Devann, Jake, Dillon, Dustyne, Walker, Chelsea, Marissa, and Lincoln; and many great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Esther Kaiser of Clairmont; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; children: Sandra, Charles, and Randy; grandson, Carter; siblings: Richard, Dellas, Donnie, Goldie, and Patsy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
