Richard “Rick” Lee Keller, age 54, of Rochester, MN, loving husband, father, and son, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2023.
Rick was born in Milaca, MN on September 26, 1968 to Lawrence and Verliss Keller. After moving from Fort Wainwright, Alaska to New Richland, MN where he graduated from High School in 1987, they then moved to Kasson, MN, where he met the love of his life, Angela Gilgenbach. Rick and Angie were married on September 14, 1991, at Pax Christi Church and later raised their family of three in Rochester, MN.
Rick worked in construction and owned Keller Builders where he specialized in new model home
construction and remodeling, and was very proud of his accomplishments. He continued in the construction field as a building Superintendent in the commercial arena, supervising several apartment and hotel projects. He took on each project full steam ahead.
Rick worked hard and long hours providing for his family that meant the world to him. He always had time for their special events and their adventurous family trips. He had a passion for NASCAR racing while spending quality time surrounded by all his rescue cats. You rarely saw him without a Dr. Pepper in his hand.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Vernell and Carmen Meyer.
He is survived by his wife, Angie; their two daughters, Ashley and Amanda and son, Austin. He is also survived by his parents, Verliss Keller-Miller (Mike); his father, Lawrence Keller and brother, Tony Keller (Michele) and their two children; father and mother-in-law, Bob and Marsha Gilgenbach; brother and sister-in-law, John and Nikki Jorissen and their three daughters, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN.
