Diane Marie Fox, 67, of New Richland, Minnesota, passed away June 28, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Diane fought a courageous battle against Corticobasal Degeneration and passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her sons home in Tulsa, OK.

Diane was born on July, 5, 1954, to Edward and Shirley Frederick in Mankato, Minnesota.  She was the second of five children.  Bonnie was the oldest child followed by Diane, Donald, Kenny, and Karen.  Growing up she was very active in the church, she enjoyed 4H and spending time with friends, and loved her pet monkey Pud.  Diane, Bonnie, and Karen were like three peas in a pod.  Their favorite song was “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, and that is exactly how all three lived their lives.  She had many life long friendships that she valued and would be a friend to anyone in need.  Diane was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others.

Diane married her high school sweetheart and first husband Danny Labs.  Together they had three beautiful boys, Brian, Justin, and Christopher.  Her life revolved around the boys as they became her heart and soul.  Diane later divorced Danny and continued raising the boys on her own for many years.  In 1991 she married Randy Fox at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland, Minnesota.  Diane and the boys relocated to New Richland and began a new life with Randy Fox and his two boys Brian and Randy Renstrom.

Diane’s career started right out of high school when she went to work for EF Johnson in Waseca, Minnesota.  After more than 25 years the company offered her a buyout.  She took the buyout and obtained her Emergency Medical Technician license followed by her Registered Nurse license.  Diane was a volunteer EMT for the New Richland Ambulance Service for many years.  Her real calling in life was realized when she began her more than 25 year Registered Nurse career in the ICU at Albert Lea Medical Center.  She loved her nursing job and poured her heart and soul with full devotion into every patient.  Diane had many hobbies and always had a project or two she was working on.  Self taught home improvements, gardening, raising puppies, hunting, traveling, and most importantly spending time with her six grandchildren was how she spent her time away from the hospital.

Diane is survived by Husband Randy Fox, Sons Brian Labs and Fiancé Jodie Larson, Justin Labs and Wife Amanda and Christopher Labs, Step Son Randy Renstrom and Wife Lauren, Father Edward Frederick, Siblings Donald Frederick, Kenny Frederick, and Karen Swenson, Grandchildren Tucker Labs, Piper Labs, Ciara Tate, Isabelle Renstrom, Kiersten Renstrom, Mikko Renstrom as well as many extended family members and friends.  Diane was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Mother Shirley Frederick, Sister Bonnie Treangen, and Step Son Brian Renstrom.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 201 2nd St NW, New Richland, Minnesota on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 11:00
