LeAnn Rosalie Amundson, age 80, of Mankato and formerly of Waldorf, died after a short illness on Friday, January 25, 2019, at Waters Edge in Mankato. 

Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Dennis Heiden officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the church, and continues one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary.

LeAnn was born November 20, 1938 to Roscoe and Pearl (Monson) Prescher.  LeAnn was a 1956 graduate of Minnesota Lake High School. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Amundson on December 16, 1957, at First Lutheran Church in Wells. LeAnn and her husband farmed near Waldorf until their retirement. LeAnn had a strong Christian faith which led her to teaching Sunday school, VBS, and leading Bible study. She was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church. LeAnn was very creative and enjoyed making crafts and doing photography. She loved to cook and took pride in the cookbook she published in 2011. She had a love for nature, playing cards, dancing with Lloyd and spending time with family. LeAnn and Lloyd lived their later retirement years in Mankato, at Diamond Creek on Amber Lane. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three children, Blane (Kerry) Amundson of Waldorf, Shalaine (Rod) Olson of Winnebago, and Leshaine (Curt) Sonnek of Easton; seven grandchildren, Brooke (Brandon) Olson, Ashlee (Joseph) Edman, Caleb (fiancée, Lyndsey Prouty) Amundson, Nicholas Mata, Erin Olson, Brody Sonnek, and Zackary Sonnek; six great-grandchildren, Briah, Brogan, Bray, Wyatt, Harper, and Sage; brothers, Neil Prescher and Loren (Barb) Prescher; one brother-in-law, Gordon (Bonnie) Amundson; also nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Amundson; parents, and a great-granddaughter, Chloe.
