Alice Mae Schlaak passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the New Richland Care Center. She was 92 years of age.

Alice was born in Nicollet, MN, on November 5, 1926 to Edward and Marie (Truebenbach) Rosin. She attended rural country school through the 8th grade and then worked as a housekeeper in a number of homes in Mankato. She eventually moved to Waseca and started work at the E.F. Johnson Co, in the very early stages of its life.

On August 29, 1949 she married Lester E. Schlaak in Nicollet, MN. They made their life together in rural Waseca. Three children blessed this marriage and they all survive; David (Loretta) Schlaak of Waseca, MN, Eugene (MaryAnn) Schlaak of New Richland, MN, Barb (Gary) Paulson of Waseca, MN. There are eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Also surviving is one brother Elmer Rosin of New Ulm, MN.

She will be joined in Heaven by her husband Lester, parents Ed and Marie, two brothers Marvin and Roger, two sisters Irma Maas-Sommers and Gloria Oachs. Alice will also meet her great-granddaughter Alice Lee Schlaak at God’s feet.
