Anna P. Foster, residing at Lake Winona Manor, Winona, MN passed away on December 7, 2018 at the age of 99. Anna was born August 30, 1919 on the family farm in Ellendale, MN.
She was the third of seven daughters born to Harold and Nelsena Ferguson.She attended school and graduated from Ellendale high school in 1937. She then attended and graduated from the Naeve Hospital School of Nursing in Albert Lea, MN in 1941.
She was united in marriage to Fred E. Foster on January 10, 1942 at the United Methodist Church in Ellendale, MN.
Anna was the School Nurse in Babbitt, MN for several years. She and her family were active members of the Presbyterian Church in Babbitt. She enjoyed music and shared that love with her six sisters wherever and whenever they got together. They sang together for years.
Anna also is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Anna is preceded in death by her husband Fred, her parents and sisters Helen, Wanda, Beulah, Alice and a grandson, Geoffrey Foster.
Anna is survived by her three children. James and Donna Foster of Red Wing, MN, Joan and Bob Hunter of Carefree, AZ and Paul and Sharon Foster of Utica, MN. Anna has four grandchildren, one step grandson, seven great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Other survivors include sister’s Mildred (Gerald) Flugum of Annandale, MN, Roselyn (Eldon) Peterson of Hayfield, MN and several nieces and nephews.
Anna thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be sadly missed.
The Family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. Thank you. A Celebration of Life for Anna will be held on December 17, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Ellendale, MN at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation from 12:30 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service.
Interment will be in the spring next to her husband in Argo Cemetery, Babbitt, MN.
