Memorial services for Doris Lorraine (Jones) Loberg of Ellendale, MN, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, MN. Pastor Kent Otterman will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery, Geneva, MN.
Doris Loberg passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea on Sunday, August 5.
Doris was born to Merrills and Dagmar (Lindahl) Jones on February 3, 1932 and was the youngest of their six children. She attended elementary school in Geneva and was part of Ellendale High School’s graduation class of 1950. She married Raymond Loberg February 3, 1952, and they raised their three children in the Ellendale and Geneva area. She was a life-long member of the Community Lutheran Church in Geneva.
She was a wife, mother and homemaker who worked outside of the home intermittently in Geneva and Ellendale businesses. Her hobby was crocheting and she had an incredible talent for the most intricate patterns. Family members treasure samples of her beautiful handiwork. She was an avid participant in local craft fairs and many local residents have examples of her work in their home.
Doris is survived by her husband of 66 years, Raymond, who lives on their farm in rural Ellendale. Daughters Nanci (Jim) Tuggle and Cindy Smolinski, make their homes in Colorado. Son, Rick (Ginny) lives in Albert Lea. She was Grandma to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.
