Gerald William "Jerry" McLoone died suddenly May 21, 2017 at the age of 76. Jerry was born in Waseca, MN Jan 15, 1941, the son of John and Kathryn (Daly) McLoone. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waseca MN in 1959 where he was a star quarterback, basketball player, and mile runner.
Jerry was a loving husband of his wife Ann and two daughters, Molly and Maura; and son-in-law, John. He was known as "Abba" to his three grandchildren, John Gregory, William James and Aiden Thomas.
Jerry was a professor at Inver Hills College for over 30 years. He also had a private psychotherapy practice for many years. Jerry touched many lives in both places.
Jerry came from a very large family and is survived by his siblings Mary Kaye Perrin (Don Nelson), Winona; Mike (Nancy), Mankato; Margo, Woodstock, NY; Annie McLoone and Tom Moncrieff, Winona; Patricia; Steve McLoone, St. Louis Park, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, John. His wife's large family also mourns him as one of their own.
Memorial Mass Friday, June 2, 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4537 3rd Ave. S., Mpls., MN with visitation 1 hour prior to at church.
