LaDonna Dorothy Raimann, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2016, at Mapleton Community Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Medo Lutheran Church, rural Mapleton. Interment will be in the Medo Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Memorials preferred to Medo Lutheran Church or a charity of donor's choice. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
LaDonna was born January 14, 1928, to Emil and Uarda (Janzig) Raimann in Albert Lea. She resided on the family farm near Pemberton for most of her adult life, where she dedicated her life to caring for her family and managing the family farm. Her nieces and nephews loved coming to the family farm to have "Donna" care for them. She could drive tractor, milk cows, tend hogs, shoot a gun and fish with the best of them.
LaDonna had a close relationship with her Maker, saying: "The Lord knows me and understands me as I live. We are not strangers." She was a resident of the Mapleton Community Home for the past five years where she enjoyed watching classic movies, reading, playing cards and Bingo.
LaDonna is survived by her sister, Jeanette (Dale) Wallace of New Richland; brother, Jay (Becky) Raimann of Hastings; sister-in-law, Bev Raimann of Mapleton; 10 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great-nephew and many friends and care-givers at Mapleton Community Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Raimann; sister, Shirley Raimann; niece, Teresa Van Iperen; and great-nephew, Jonathan Raimann.
