Elaine E. Wondra of rural Blooming Prairie died December 7, 2015 at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie. Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl. Friends may greet the family on Friday, Dec. 11, from 4-7 p.m. at the Brick–Meger Funeral home (1603 Austin Road, Owatonna) and one hour before the funeral liturgy at the church on Friday. A parish rosary will be recited at 3:45 Friday at the funeral home.
Elaine was born August 8, 1921 in Geneva Township, rural Freeborn County, the daughter of Frank and Jessie (Mosher) Jensen. She attended country school in rural Steele County. Elaine was united in marriage to Alfred Wondra on June 14, 1941 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newry Township. She was a homemaker for all of her life. Along with her husband Alfred, she was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and Holy Trinity Church. Elaine enjoyed gardening, canning with her best friend Mary Haberman as well as baking. Elaine enjoyed having the grandchildren stay on the farm.Elaine is survived by her seven children Judy Molloy of Faribault, MN Tom (Rosi) Wondra of Owatonna, Alfred (Alfie) Wondra of Blooming Prairie, Mary (Doug) Goff of Blooming Prairie, Pat (Larry) Motl of Ellendale, Joe (Terry) Wondra of Blooming Prairie, Ann (Steve) Winzenburg of Blooming Prairie, 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren (two on the way) and two great-great-grandchildren. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter Amanda, son-in-law Mike, two brothers and an infant sister.
