Ursula E. Harra, 86, of New Richland, formerly of Waseca MN, entered her eternal rest on July 26, 2015, at St. John’s Lutheran Community home in Albert Lea MN.

Ursula was born Ursula Liesbeth Martha Allstadt on July 20, 1929 in Walterhausen Germany, to John and Hildegard Geoborene Bahring Allstadt. Ursula came to the United States of America in the year 1950, and became a United States Citizen in 1960. Ursula made her way from the East Coast to Minnesota, and made Minnesota her home.

On July 22nd of 1961, Ursula married Walter Harra. They made their home in West Concord, MN. At some time, Ursula and Walt divorced, and remarried January 17, 1983, where they made Waseca their home.

Ursula worked for the E.F. Johnson Company for many years, until her retirement. After her retirement, Ursula and Walter owned and operated a craft store in Waseca, and also made their way all over Minnesota making and selling their crafts.

After Walter’s death in 1993, Ursula continued their passion for crafts for some years. Ursula moved to New Richland, where her mobile home was her pride and joy. Ursula had to give up her mobile home in the 2009 flood in New Richland. Ursula then moved into The Royal Villa apartments.

Ursula was a woman who couldn’t be held down at home. Ursula, in her 70s, began working at New Richland Care center, and worked there for a time as a dietary aide. Ursula’s mission in life was helping others, caring for animals, and just enjoying life. Ursula truly loved everyone that came into her life.

Ursula is survived by her son, Michael Allstadt, and his wife Elka of Germany; one grandson, Denny, and his wife, and two children, from Germany. Ursula is also survived by her special friend Denny Fredrickson,of Windom, MN; extended family Thomas Tetzloff of Waseca, Linda and Roger Zabel of Waseca, Adeline Riese and Rhonda Jacobson of New Richland, MN, and many close friends and acquaintances.

Ursula was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Walter in 1993, and by other family members in Germany.

A celebration of Ursula’s life will take place August 15, 2015, at The Royal Villa apartments in New Richland at 3 p.m., with a gathering two hours prior to the celebration, Pastor Ron Brey officiating.

Burial is undetermined at this time. The Cremation Society of Minnesota is in charge of handling Ursula’s remains.
