In Loving Memory of Teresa Marie Van Iperen
Teresa Van Iperen was born on July 31, 1962 in El Paso, Texas to Dale and Jeanette Raimann Wallace. That same year the family moved to Albert Lea, MN. In 1967 the family moved to New Richland, MN where Teresa graduated from New Richland-Hartland High School in 1980.
She went on to attend Mankato State University, graduating in 1985. She then made her home in Pemberton, MN. On June 4, 1994 she and Jerry Van Iperen were married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saint Clair, MN. Teresa worked for Blue Earth County as a social worker in Mankato. Following their marriage they remained in Pemberton until 2001 when they moved to an acreage near Edgerton, MN. Teresa enjoyed the time she spent home schooling her boys.
Teresa passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 surrounded by her family at the age of 51. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Lake Wilson, MN. Teresa also did quilting with the ladies of St. Columba Church in Iona. Teresa enjoyed knitting, reading, baking, scrap booking and crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Van Iperen of Edgerton, MN; four sons, Shane Wallace of St. Peter, MN, Logan Van Iperen, Connor Van Iperen and Ryan Van Iperen, all at home; parents Dale and Jeanette Wallace of New Richland; one brother, Wendell Wallace and his wife, Nellie of Bradford, PA; two sisters, Brenda Wrenn and her husband, Tim of Anoka, MN; and Tina Hudson and her husband, Chris of Amboy, MN. She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
Funeral Services
St. Ann’s Church in Slayton, MN on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. James Seitz officiating. The pianist is Judy Andrew with special music by Annette Raimann and Group Therapy. The pallbearers are Brian Wallace, Nathan Wrenn, Larry Raimann, Kyle Carlson, Marcus Engbarth and Michael Van Iperen. Interment is at Hillside Cemetery, Lake Wilson, MN.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton from 4-7 p.m. with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.
