Mildred Pofahl, 91, of Wells, MN, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in rural Minnesota Lake, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church on Monday. Pastor Brooke Wickliffe-Fisher will officiate and the interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of the arrangements.
Mildred D. Pofahl was born February 4, 1922, the daughter of Emil and Anna (Michaelis) Bolduan in New Richland, MN. She graduated from New Richland High School in 1940 and attended Rochester Junior College for surgical recording. Mildred was employed by Mayo Clinic working as a surgical recorder for many years. She married Harold Pofahl of Minnesota Lake, on February 20, 1965 in Rochester. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Minnesota Lake Township. Mildred taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and was active in Women’s Guild at Church. Mildred enjoyed flowers and gardening. She and Harold enjoyed antiquing and collecting dishes. Following Harold’s death, she moved into Wells in 2004Mildred is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Bolduan of Omaha, Nebraska, several nieces, a nephew, several cousins, and their families.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Donald Bolduan of Omaha, Nebraska.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Church, Wells Food Shelf, or United Hands Hospice (Blue Earth).
