Zoe Madeline McDonough, 10, of East Brainerd died July 6, 2012 along with her grandmother, Susan McDonough, in a tragic accident.
Zoe was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was soon to be a fifth-grader at Westview Elementary School. She loved basketball, soccer, volleyball and art and was inspired to become an Art Teacher. She was a member of Girl Scout Troop #40507 for the past five years and also a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Zoe was most proud of her relationship with her savior and having renewed her baptism just five days before her death.
She is survived by her parents, Brett and Leah McDonough; her brother, Corbin and her sister, Siri all of Chattanooga; Grandparents, Mike McDonough of New Richland, MN and Frank and Barbara Bradford of Fayetteville, TN; Aunt, Jen (Mike) Vetsch; Uncle, Todd McDonough and cousins, Steven, Jimmy, Fawn, Anna, Abby and Averi.A celebration of Zoe’s life was held Monday at 2 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Flynn officiating.
Funeral service for Zoe and her grandmother, Susan, will be held on Saturday, July 14, at 2 p.m. at Vista Lutheran Church, New Richland. Rev. Paul Meierding will officiate. Burial will be in Vista Lutheran Cemetery, New Richland.
