NRHEG Homecoming week 2023 concluded last week with a week full of activities, themed dress up days, coronation, and parades coming to a close Friday.
Monday evening, William Tuttle, son of Thaddeus and Jessica Tuttle, alongside Hallie Schultz, daughter of Rick and Jackie Schultz, were crowned King and Queen.
Serving as the night’s Emcee’s were Tayler Schmidt, Elsie Schultz and Levin Kitzer.
Together the homecoming candidates were introduced, along with a list of their activities, which will follow at the end of this article.
Students’ week was busy with various observances. Dress-up themes included “neon,” “celebrity,” “Barbie and Ken,” “Throwback Thursday,” and, of course, “Panther Pride” day.
School day activities included challenges among members of the homecoming court, an “amateur” volleyball tournament, a “Thursday morning mix” and more.
Parades concluded the afternoon activities Friday. The football team played and dominated in a 22-0 win over WEM, which was followed by a dance.

NRHEG Homecoming Royalty
Brenna Sommer is the daughter of Tony and Amanda Sommer. She has two younger siblings: Brooklyn and Jacob. She likes to spend time with her family, friends, and George. She loves to travel to pig shows and really anything to do with pigs. She also likes to bake, even though she is not that good at it. Brenna is involved in Sideline cheer, competitive cheer, student council, FCA, 4H, and National Honor Society. Her favorite memory from high school so far was taking Spanish 3 last year with Senora Olson, who always made her class so much fun. One fun fact about Brenna is that she is really scared of chickens, but she loves a good crispy chicken sandwich. If she were a kitchen utensil Brenna would be a fork, because she is un-fork-gettable. Her hero is her mom because she is always there for her. Honorable mention to her dad, because if she is doing something wrong, he’ll let her know. Brenna plans to attend Minnesota State University - Mankato, major in communication sciences and disorders, and go on to get her master's in Speech Language Pathology.
George Roesler is the son of Greg and Barb Roesler. He has one older brother, Ralph. He likes to spend time with his pigs and Brenna. George is involved in Football, wrestling, FCA and 4H. His favorite hobby is Legos. His favorite memory from high school so far is showering with Kowski (If you know, you know). One fun fact about George is that he knows how to juggle. If he were a kitchen utensil, he would be his mother….she makes good food. His hero is Elon Musk, because he makes big fireworks. After high school, George plans to go to college to get more knowledge.
Isabel Stadheim is the daughter of Darrin and Linda Stadheim. She has two younger sisters; Adalyn and Emilia. Isabel is involved in Volleyball, Cheer, Softball, National Honor Society, Student Council, and DECA. She enjoys hanging out with friends and spending time at the lake. Her favorite memory from high school so far is competing in the High School Cheer Nationals in Florida last year and being ranked 11th in the Nation. One fun fact about Isabel is that she cheered in the New Year's Day Parade in London, England. If she were a kitchen utensil, she would be a spork because she is useful in many different situations. Isabel’s heroes are her parents because she wouldn't be the person she is today without them. Also Elsie Schultz for getting her through Calculus. After graduation, Isabel plans to attend the University of Minnesota College of Design to major in Architecture. She also plans on continuing cheer as a member of the Gopher cheer team!
Jackson Chrz is the son of Gwyn and Jared. He has three siblings: Kayna, Emelia, and Hudson. Jackson is involved in football, basketball, and baseball. He is passionate about race cars, and one fun fact about Jackson is that he golfs. His favorite memory from high school so far is William’s shenanigans. If he were a kitchen utensil, he would be a cup because it holds beverages. Jackson’s hero is Cleetus Mcfarland, he wants to live his life. After high school, Jackson plans on doing all kinds of car stuff and being successful.
Hallie Schultz is the daughter of Rick and Jackie Schultz. She is an only child, but she considers her 10 little cousins as her younger siblings because they make her the happiest! Hallie is involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, Captain's Council, DECA, Student Ambassadors, and National Honor Society. She is also the Student Council President and an FCA leader. Her hobbies include golfing, time at the lake, trips with family friends, and jet skiing with her cousins - and occasionally picking up free couches off of the side of the road. Her favorite memories from high school are swimming in our softball field, mud wrestling, and our school lunches improving! One fun fact about Hallie is her birthday is on April Fools Day. If she were a kitchen utensil, she would be a pampered chef chopper because it is her mom's favorite utensil. Her hero is the anonymous person who filled the potholes in the parking lot. Hallie plans on attending Iowa State University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. Hallie would also like to wish her grandma a happy 90th birthday.

His hobbies include swimming, ice skating, roller skating, figure skating, rugby, pickleball, darts, football, tai, bareback horse riding, sandwich artist, ballet barre, stretching, intuitive dance, interpretive dance, introspective dance, pilates, noodling, pushup contests, lumberjack competitions at the fair, synchronized swimming with dolphins, rock climbing with a jetpack and he is an avid historian and mycologist. William also cares for unsheltered orphan infant sea turtles in his free time. One fun fact about William is that his least favorite holiday is April fools day. His favorite memory from High school so far is showering with Kowski after gym class, iykyk. If William were a kitchen utensil, he would be a little spoon because he loves being cuddled by Jaylin. His hero is himself because he single-handedly filled every pothole in the parking lot. After graduation, William plans on getting on his grindset and fulfilling the world record community service hours for free. He also wants to wish Hallie's grandma a happy 90th birthday.
Faith Nielsen is the daughter of Bruce and Jennie Nielsen. She has four siblings: Hope, Preslie, Jaxson and Noah. Faith is involved in basketball, softball, volleyball, captain’s council, and FCA. Her hobbies include hanging out with her friends, playing sports and taking naps. Faith’s favorite memory from high school is doing Just Dance in Spanish. One fun fact about Faith is that she owns 42 pairs of shoes. If she were a kitchen utensil, Elsie’s dad joked that she would be a plastic fork, because it's disposable-but then he admitted to washing and reusing plastic utensils. Faith plans to attend college somewhere in Minnesota to become a dental hygienist.
Jaylin Raab is the son of Tiffany and Troy. He has two siblings: one brother, Quentin and one sister, Kylee. Jaylin is involved in football, track, and basketball. His hobbies include football, ice fishing, riding snowmobiles, hunting with Jiz, and hanging with friends. One interesting fact about him is that he can swim. Jaylin’s favorite memory from high school so far is meeting new people. If he were a kitchen utensil, Jaylin would be a big spoon because he likes to cuddle. Jaylin’s heroes are his grandparents because they care so much for him and do a lot for him. After high school, Jaylin plans to go into sports medicine and play college football.
Keira Lenort is the daughter of Chris and Tami LaCanne, and Jason Lenort. She has two siblings: Miranda LaCanne and Trevor Lenort. Keira is involved in volleyball, trapshooting, track and field, DECA, student ambassadors, FCA, and NHS. In her free time, she likes to spend time on the lake, go to the gym, and climb trees. Keira’s favorite memory from high school so far was watching Kenzie do parkour, and also watching Kenzie fall during parkour. One fun fact about Keira is that she doesn't hit curbs, ever. but she knows that sometimes people accidentally hit them and that's totally okay. If she was a kitchen utensil, Keira would be a whisk, cause there's no whisk she’s not willing to take. Her hero is Evelyn Nydegger, because she puts 100% into everything she does and has the most positive attitude while she does it. She overcomes every obstacle thrown her way and is amazing at everything. After high school, Keira plans to attend Marquette University to study biophysics
Daxter Lee is the son of Mark and Rachael Lee. He has one brother, Jared. Daxter is involved in basketball and baseball. His hobby is golf and his favorite memory from high school so far is Payden getting in fights. One fun fact about Daxter is that he golfs. If he was a kitchen utensil, he would be a knife, since it's the first thing he thought of. His heroes are his parents and Isaiah Lundberg because they all inspire him to work hard. After high school, Daxter plans to play basketball in college.
Princess Kinsley Jensen is the daughter of Brady and Amy Jensen. She has three sisters, Aubrey, Lyla, and Marayah. Kinsley is involved in dance. Her hobbies include dancing and doing crafts. One fun fact about Kinsley is that she has a big and caring heart and loves helping people. If she were a kitchen utensil, she would be a spoon because it's bendable. Kinsley’s hero is her mom because she is always there for her. In her future, Kinsley wants to be an artist.
Prince Paxton Sterner is the son of Amanda Anderson & Jordan Sterner. He has one little brother, Bowen. Paxton is involved in T-ball and wrestling. His hobbies include swimming, basketball, skateboarding, camping, and cooking. One fun fact about Paxton is that he really loves Halloween! If he were a kitchen utensil, he would be a spoon, so he could always eat tomato soup. Paxton’s hero is his Uncle J, because he always makes him laugh and he wrestles him. As for his future plans, Paxton wants to be an engineer.
The princess and prince each received token gifts being part of the Homecoming royalty. The princess received a volleyball signed by the 2023 Panther Volleyball team. The prince received a football signed by the 2023 Panther football team.
