The Steele County Historical Society will hold the 5th Annual Gus’ Station Breakfast and Car Show on Saturday, July 20, 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Steele County History Center.
Classic cars of all ages, new and old, domestics and imports will be on display throughout the facility parking area at the Steele County Historical Society, ensuring there is something for everyone to see. The car show is a participant voting system, with open class trophies to the top ten vehicles. A dash plaque will be given to all entries. There is a $5 per vehicle registration fee.
The show will feature a wide range of specialty vehicles scheduled to attend.
The breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per person; children 5 and under eat free with paid adult. The meal will be egg bake, fruit, muffins and beverage. Tickets are available at the SCHS or online. Guests can stroll through the Village of Yesteryear and purchase commemorative items in Gus’ Station and are also available in the County Junction Gift Shop located in the History Center. Admission to the car show is free, however donations are always appreciated. All proceeds go to Gus’ Station Restoration and proposed addition of a service bay to be located next to Gus’ Station. Immediately following the car show, there will be a car run to the Spurgy’s Bar in Hope.

The Steele County Historical Society is a non-profit educational and cultural institution established in 1949. Its mission is to preserve and share Steele County history today for tomorrow.

The Steele County Historical Society operates the Village of Yesteryear May 1 through September 30 with guided tours offered at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Adults $5, children ages 7-16 $3, children 6 and under accompanied by an adult, free. Group tours, and other tour times are available by appointment. The History Center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m- 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission to the History Center is adults $5, children ages 7-16 $3.00, children 6 and under accompanied by an adult, free—receive a $2 discount if you tour the Village and visit the History Center.
