Veterans invited to open house Saturday at Albert Lea VA Clinic
The Minneapolis VA Healthcare System invites military veterans to the Open House for the Albert Lea VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic on November 8 from 8 a.m. to noon, 1665 West Main Street Albert Lea, MN. Harvest dinner Saturday in Ellendale
First Lutheran Church in Ellendale will serve a Fall Harvest Dinner on Saturday, November 8, beginning at 4:30. The dinner, which will consist of roasted turkey, along with potatoes and gravy, dressing, buttered corn, milk, lemonade and coffee will be served from 4:30-6:30 for a free will donation. Take outs are also available for those who are not able to make it to the church. People are encouraged to bring a friend and come, join the fun, as well as bring a pie for the auction that is being planned. Following the dinner a Gospel Gathering will be held in the church sanctuary, starting at 7 p.m. Ross Sletten, Matt Arthur and friends will share gospel music and a number of great songs for the enjoyment of everyone. Proceeds from the dinner will go towards the church’s general fund.
Tickets available for trip to Bachman’s

Order discounted yearbooks by Nov. 7
An "early bird" discount of $10 is available to students who order their 2014-15 NRHEG yearbooks at the school between Oct. 13 and Nov. 7. Forms will be distributed and orders accepted during lunch in the lower commons. With the discount, purchase price for the yearbook is $45 plus tax; books ordered without the discount will cost $55 plus tax. Special features such as personalization cost extra. If students have questions or concerns, they should speak with the yearbook advisor, Mrs. Schumacher. Remember, yearbooks are full of messages and memories. What will yours be?
After Prom Committee to meet Wednesday
The NRHEG After Prom Committee will meet Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ellendale Media Center. Everyone is welcome.
After Prom fundraiser starting November 1
NRHEG After Prom is holding a fundraiser, “That’s My Pan!” Starting November 1, 2014, personalized cake pans and lids, including your choice of words and colors, will be available for purchase by contacting families of NRHEG junior and senior students, or ordering online at www.thatsmypan.biz/fromn10065. Waldorf Holiday Extravaganza Nov. 15
The Waldorf Community Center will hold a Holiday Extravaganza on Saturday, November 15th from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Please join us at our craft and vendor sale to get a jump start on your holiday shopping. Waseca Co. Ag Society to meet November 18
The Annual meeting of the Waseca County Agricultural Society will be held Tuesday, November 18 at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds in the east gray building (use south entrance). The 2015 Waseca County Free Fair will be July 15-19.
