During the 2014 Minnesota State fair, 4-H members from all 87 counties in the state provided 2,844 4-H building exhibits and 2,885 livestock exhibits.
Waseca County 4-H members fared well during their non-livestock exhibit judging, which was held August 28-30. Results from the Non-Livestock Encampment are as follows:

A group of youth, under the direction of volunteer Steve Scheffert, also participated in the 4-H State Fair experience via Arts-In. The members in Arts-In put together a show of song and dance, which they practice and perform at various places during the summer, with the final performances taking place at the State Fair. This year their show was “Frozen,” and featured songs from the popular Disney movie with the same title. Participants were Rylea Carey; Lindy, Noah, Piper, and William Fiebiger; Karley Hamilton; Bailey Hodgkins; Sadie Mortenson; Elisabeth Nelson; Kamryn, Katey, Kennady, and Kylie Rice; Brook Thompson; and Kloe Wadd.
The Palmer Sunbeams participated in the 4-H State Fair Share the Fun Showcase. Participants were Anne Christian, Leah Christina, Jaedyn Wenisch, Kaitlynn Wenisch, Kyla Wenisch, Sadie Smith, and Rose Pommerenke.
