— — —Legion Field to host sub-district tourney
Baseball fans won’t have to look far for some action this weekend. New Richland’s Legion Field is again hosting American Legion sub-district playoffs. Games are set for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m., 12:30 and 3 p.m. Saturday. Teams involved in the tournament include New Richland, Rochester, Adams, Hayfield, Byron, Dodge Center, Medford and Stewartville.

Funds from Kampen board earmarked for NR Area Food Shelf
Help fight hunger and homelessness with the Area Food Shelf of New Richland. Enter a bid for a Brenda Kampen decorative board, “If these walls could talk,” which is on display at the Red Leaf Café. Entry slips for your bid are on the counter at the Red Leaf. Please help the Area Food Shelf of New Richland receive a special grant! The highest bidder will be notified on July 31. WAC offers children’s birthday parties
Love your kid’s birthday parties? Love them or hate them, the Waseca Art Center is now offering the service of providing special craft activities for children’s parties. Geared especially for children from 5-14, but any age can have a great party. Four different craft projects are available for parent to select from and children take home their craft at the end of the party. Each party is to be held on a Saturday and are about two hours in length. Contact the Art Center for more information. Art Center hours are Tuesday thru Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
