A new group has been organized, Friends of the New Richland Library. The purpose of this organization is to focus attention on the library, services, facilities, and the needs of the NR Public Library. Membership is open to all individuals in the community and costs $5 for one year. Members will be invited to participate in special events during the year. Membership forms will be available at the library.

The first fund raiser, a used book sale, is scheduled during Farm and City Days on Saturday, July 12, 10 a.m. to2 p.m. at the library. Community members may help by donating gently used books for the sale. Books may be donated to the library during library hours anytime before the day of the sale. Membership forms will also be available during the sale. All funds raised by membership and sales will be used for the improvement and support to the New Richland Public Library.
