Keyboard recital Sunday
A recital will be presented on June 29 at 2:30 p.m. at Vista Covenant Church, rural New Richland, by the students of Shirley Groskreutz of Hartland. Students from Waldorf include Sophia Carter, Aubrey and Raquel Fischer, Ben and Anna Groskreutz, Sarah and Hunter Evers. Those from the New Richland area include Doug Rudau, Autumn Thompson, Sam and Jack Olson, Grace, Elizabeth and Isaac Nelson, and Betsy and Benjamin Schoenrock. Waseca area students include Jordane and Kala Kouba. From the Janesville area will be Kelly Koplen. Those from Mapleton include Taylor and Jordan Thompson. Performances will include piano solos and duets, an organ solo, accordion solos and duets, and singing. There also will be a surprise guest performing. The public is welcome to attend.

Geneva Dairy Night set for Monday
Geneva Dairy Night is set for Monday, June 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Geneva City Park. Activities include an Ice Cream Social, Bake Sale and fun for the kids including entertainment, face painting, sno-cones, cotton candy and, of course, free ice cream cones. Dinner includes hot dogs, chips and pop. Bring your own lawn chairs. Bring items for the bake sale by 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Geneva Business Club.

Donate by July 2 for NR Library book sale
A book sale will be held by "Friends of the New Richland Library" on Saturday July 12 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please bring your donations of books for the sale to the library before July 2. Ramaker graduates from college with honors
Greg Ramaker, son of Donnie and Sharon Ramaker of Ellendale, has graduated from The College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN. Greg obtained a degree in Exercise Physiology and graduated with highest honors of Summa Cum Laude; 3.75 grade point average or above.

Maxon named to Gustavus Dean’s List
Kaylee Maxon was named to the Spring Semester Dean’s List at Gustavus Adolphus College. The list comprises students who have earned a 3.7 grade point average (based on a scale in which 4.0 = A) or higher for the semester ending in May 2014.

Anders Frank earns cum laude graduation honors at Concordia
Anders Frank, son of Dennis Frank and Kristen Simon-Frank of Hartland, graduated cum laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in May 2014. Anders is a 2010 graduate of NRHEG.

Hans Frank named to Concordia Dean’s List
Hans Frank, son of Dennis Frank and Kristen Simon-Frank of Hartland, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2014 semester at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Hans is a 2013 graduate of NRHEG and is majoring in History.

Saturday Color Run to benefit Costa Rica trip
There will be a 5K Color Run/Walk at the Park in Ellendale on Saturday, June 28. Registration is from 8:30-8:50 a.m. and the start time is 9 a.m. Cost will be $20 which includes a free T-shirt.
