Community Vacation Bible School will take place June 2-6 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 503 Radel Court, Ellendale.
Five area churches will volunteer to prepare supper each evening: St. Aiden’s Parish, Ellendale; First Lutheran Church, Ellendale; Ellendale United Methodist; Community Lutheran Geneva; and Vibrant Life, Ellendale.
Many volunteers help make this local five day event a fantastic experience for children in the community. This year Rod and Vonda Snow will be presenters with “Chalk For Christ.” Rod is an accomplished chalk artist and ventriloquist with over 25 years of full-time ministry in many states. His program blends humorous quips from his comedic ventriloquist characters with the timeless truth from God’s Word that are communicated through amazing chalk drawings. Vonda, his wife, leads the children with high energy music, Bible stories and creative Scripture lessons.Vacation Bible School is for children who have completed kindergarten-sixth grade.
This year’s series teaches children how to pursue God – “Full Throttle.” In today’s world we like things that go fast – cars, motorcycles, and planes, that push the limits. Just like our need for speed; we need to pursue God “Full Throttle.” A race car theme, interactive teaching methods, memory verse games, cool music, and fantastic chalk drawings make a wonderful Vacation Bible School.
