Suicide awareness meeting March 25

An informational meeting about the Open Arms Yellow Ribbon Program is set for Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. at Vibrant Life Church in Ellendale, 702 3rd St. S. The Open Arms Yellow Ribbon Program was started in loving memory of Jacob Sikel. The program addresses the need to be prepared and educate all members of the community before and after any suicide or attempted suicide in order to recognize factors that place individuals at risk for suicide and to learn appropriate interventions. The program is set up to have separate age appropriate education for adults in the community, school staff and with youth. This event on the 25th is strictly for adults. Additional age appropriate events are in process of being created. Please join us for an informational training on a new life skill in which every person in the world should be trained.
