Thank you everyone for the kind birthday messages last week. You helped make what would normally have been an uneventful day very special.
Special thanks to Pam and Larry for their nice surprises last week. You two are too kind. Every town needs more Pams and Larrys.
Thank you to Dean and Theresa at the Red Leaf. There was a nice birthday message inside of my to-go box last Tuesday. Now I know why you asked me to check for pickles before I departed for the office.
On a more somber note, I am very sorry that we didn’t get all the veterans pictures in our annual edition two weeks ago. We are running a little addition this week to include a few of the veterans who were not included. I am aware that it doesn’t fix our mistake, but at least a few more of you will see your beloved veterans in the paper.
It has been another very busy month here at the paper, a good month nonetheless. I can’t say I’m surprised. Last month was hectic and I don’t expect next month or the following month to be any different. The list of stories and special sections seems never ending. Do not take my ranting as complaining, because it is quite the opposite. We couldn’t do it without you, the readers, supporting us every step of the way.
That said, please continue to bring in your story ideas and news clippings. It really does help us and I personally enjoy getting people’s tid-bits in. And thank you, Kim Berg, for your photo submission.
