Parents of NRHEG's graduating class of 2020 announced Saturday they would host an unofficial graduation ceremony Saturday, June 13 from 1 to 5 p.m. at J.R.'s Barn west of New Richland.
The following statement was issued:
"The parents and students would love to see anyone and everyone come watch these young men and women Graduate as a class. We understand the school must follow certain requirements and restrictions given by the state We, the parents, feel we can still give the graduates a ceremony on our own that they deserve and want as a class! We have planned a safe, social distancing ceremony at JR’s Barn where the kids can stand one last time with their classmates, and give the kids the chance to toss those caps while family watches, since the school is not able to give a traditional ceremony this year. If you or family do not feel comfortable, you have the option to sit in your car as well. Everyone is invited to come; please bring a lawn chair and watch from the huge lawn.The Class of 2020 has been robbed of almost everything a senior looks forward too! Hope to see you all there, everyone is invited, near and far!!!"
