DonnaMae Monique McCamish, 70, a lifelong and cherished member of the Ellendale community, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m., on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Ellendale, with a visitation beginning at 2 p.m. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting DonnaMae’s obituary at www.BonnerupFuneralService.com. Burial will be in Geneva Cemetery.

Born in Owatonna, on September 27, 1953 to the late Harry and Marie (Guse) Farr, DonnaMae was a dedicated telephone operator at Qwest Communications for three decades and was the proud owner of Tamae Ceramic Shop. A multitasker at heart, DonnaMae also juggled roles as a waitress, saleswoman for Mary Kay, Tastefully Simple, and Norwex, and the beloved nanny, known as “Mae Mae” to Steve and Terri Engel, and their grandson, Wyman.

DonnaMae's impact extended far beyond her professional endeavors. A member of the United Methodist Church in Ellendale, she tirelessly served her community on the Ellendale City Council and the Steele Co. Recycling board, and played a vital role in enhancing local parks. Known for her generosity, quick wit, and elegant demeanor, DonnaMae was a social butterfly who loved crafting, sewing, gardening, reading, and solving Sudoku puzzles. Her love for travel and exploring new sights was evident in her wanderlust spirit and family-centered adventures.

Those left to cherish DonnaMae’s memory include her daughter, Chanelle McCamish; grandchildren, Whittney McCamish, Sydney McCamish, Bo McCamish, and Blake Fedder; great-grandchildren, Atlas, Lucian, and Estelle; and a brother, Ron Farr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marie Farr, and her life partner, Craig Budenske.
